I started taking computers apart, fixing what I broke and reading DOS manuals when I was eleven. KennowTech is where those decades of curiosity meet something even more important: treating people with patience, honesty and respect.

How long has Chad worked with computers?
Since childhood. My first family computer was a Gateway 2000 386SX. I later created New London Senior High School’s first website, supported hundreds of computers for the school district, worked in technical support and continued formal IT study at Fox Valley Technical College. Technology has changed repeatedly; learning how to investigate it has remained the useful skill.
Why does KennowTech make house calls?
Many problems make more sense in the place where they happen. Wi-Fi, printers, cable arrangements and the way a person actually uses a computer cannot always be reproduced at a shop. Coming to you also avoids asking someone to disconnect equipment, carry it across town and remember how everything was connected.
What does veteran-owned mean here?
I served in the United States Air Force beginning in 2000 as a KC-135 Stratotanker crew chief and later assisted with mobility and computer work. That experience reinforced responsibility, preparation and the importance of doing the job correctly when other people depend on it.
Is KennowTech only for Christians?
No. My faith explains the standard I try to live and work by; it is not a requirement placed on customers. You will be treated respectfully whether you share my beliefs, disagree with them or would rather discuss nothing but the computer.
Conservative? MAGA? Apolitical?
You’re welcome here. KennowTech serves neighbors, not voting blocs. You will not be lectured, shamed or refused service because of your politics. And if you would rather skip politics entirely and just fix the computer, that is perfectly fine too.
Why was KennowTech temporarily closed?
I stepped away in 2023 to give needed attention to health and family. That pause clarified what I want KennowTech to be: useful, sustainable and personal—not driven by subscriptions, constant sales pitches or pretending to be a large storefront.

My technology story began at eleven with the family’s Gateway 2000 386SX. I stayed up past bedtime reading DOS manuals, experimenting with software and learning how to repair the problems I created. By high school I had become the person classmates and teachers asked for help, and in 1998 I built New London Senior High School’s first website.
After graduation, the New London School District hired me as a Computer Assistant. I helped prepare more than 300 computers for the newly built high school and supported technology across the district. I later worked in technical support for Athenet Data Exchange, studied several IT disciplines at Fox Valley Technical College and briefly worked for Milwaukee PC.
I joined the United States Air Force in 2000 and served as a KC-135 Stratotanker crew chief during 9/11. I later worked in mobility and computer support before receiving an honorable medical discharge in 2002.
An early attempt at a computer business called CDE Computers did not take off, but the idea never quite left. I continued learning, helping friends and family and experimenting with new technology. In 2019, after years of encouragement and valuable mentorship from Tom Mills of Omega Computers, I founded KennowTech.
My family moved from Appleton to Greenville in 2021, giving KennowTech a more central Fox Valley location. I took a necessary health and family pause in 2023. Today, KennowTech is returning to its strongest purpose: trustworthy, on-demand technology help without subscription pressure or a manufactured sales routine.
